Raven is a self-taught photographer with a unique sense of viewing the world around her. She has been taking photographs since she was 8 yrs old when she recieved a Browne Box camera for her birthday. In her early 20's she became serious about her work when she travedled cross country from Vermont to California and back taking photographs of everything she saw. One of her reflections in Yosemite California won a weekly contest in the Burlington Free Press. She was hooked on photography from then on.
Her works very from photos of family to scenes in and around Vermont, Florida and states westward. Raven's passions however lye in her visual searching of the unusual or unique reflection, as well as the world of macro where everything up close takes on a new dimension not usually seen.
She has won several awards for her photography. One a Kodak Kinsa Contest where her photo was on display in Epcot/Disneyworld Florida for a year. Locally Raven is well known and has won recognition in the Grand Isle Art show and the Champlain Valley Fair where her photo titled Damselflies and Reeds took top honour with the Progressive Insurance Grand Prize award. Her work has been on display in Barnes and Noble, the Bryan Memorial Art Gallery in Jeffersonville,VT.,Arts Alive in Burlington and Manchester Center Vt., Dr. Betina Laidley DDS., as well as The Brickhouse Studio Gallery in Stowe.
